Are Your Being a Stupid Jerk with Your Marketing?

Posted by admin on Monday, 18 January, 2010

The high level of stupidity, trying to save pennies, or laziness of business owners can be easily seen in their consistently unexplainable behavior regarding how they fail to market to existing customers. They are loathe to spend money and time on the people who have already proven they will patronize them and, in fact, do patronize them. But always willing to pour time and money into chasing the next new customer. They are in ardent, sweaty, drooling lust for the next new conquest, completely uninterested in the already conquered. There are many reasons for this far too numerous to analyze here. They range from perverse human nature to economic ignorance to boredom to foolish belief in customer loyalty and on and on and on. The car dealer spends $50,000. 00 a week on newspaper, radio and TV ads to bring in new customers but God forbid he spend a couple hundred bucks on a mailing or a couple thousand bucks on a party for his present car owners. It’s hard to find any industry where this combination of idiot, cheapness and being a sloth is as magnified as the auto dealer business. It is a very good thing everybody buys cars, because in pretty much any other business, most dealers and almost all the salespeople’d starve, deservedly. But on different levels, the same nitwit behavior pervades most businesses. My dry cleaner advertises like a banshee in Val-Pak and local papers; not once in the 3 years I’ve spent no less than $150 a month have I gotten a piece of mail, and to add insult, the coupons say: for new customers only. The dry cleaner is fortunate I hate the thought of trying to find another competent dry cleaner so much. The dealer I bought my last car from, not so fortunate. If you want to start ‘mind capture’ somewhere, start with the top 50% or 40% or 30% of your customers. Make sure what they are talking about EVERY week of their life is YOU. Then move on to doing the same in a target prospect group. Or your industry or community. It is reportedly quite difficult to get ghosts to up and leave a haunted house. Movies like ‘Beetlejuice’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ come to mind. Well, most people have haunted houses all their own. Filled with the spirits of whatever they heard their Mom and Dad say about wealth at the top of the stairs, ghosts of past failure or miserable experiences, ghosts of things attempted only once and never again attempted, ghosts of old arguments, ghosts of business norms and standard practices created for a forgotten time. A popular theme for the daytime ‘Maury Povich Show’ is a parade of women who were really, really ugly, flat-chested, buck-toothed, fat, pimply and shy and put upon in school, who have now lost a zillion pounds, gotten breast implants, complexion cleared up, contact lenses or laser eye surgery in place of bottle-pop glasses, teeth straightened, hair poofed, who bring to the show the boy or girl grown to man or woman they haven’t seen since 7th grade, who treated them badly, to appear in front of and demand a groveling apology. Some of these made-over bombshells are strippers, others in less exotic occupations. All have carried their embarassment and anger against another schoolkid around with them for 10, 30 years, haunted by the spirit of high school past. We ALL do this in one way or another; we are ALL haunted by some evil spirits; ALL eager to show the neighbor, schoolkid, peer, mouthy brother-in-law, etc. we won, they were not right. I suppose that’s unavoidable. I know no one totally above all this, me included. I’m not positive this is ALL horrible. Taking satisfaction in rubbing a harsh critic’s nose in your success is a form of pleasurable celebration. But being unrelenting, visited daily by such an evil spirit, not helpful. As with ghosts in a real haunted house, it is damnably hard to get our ghosts to move out of our psyche. Psycho-Cybernetics is really all about that, and for myself, I’ve done an enormous amount of work with it, and still do, to evict as many ghosts as I’m able, keep the others in check. A lot of ghosts get in the way of success.

Why “Article Marketing” Is Stupid

Posted by admin on Saturday, 16 January, 2010

One cannot escape the irony of using an article directory frequented by article marketers to malign this mostly moronic marketing method.   (Mmmm — don’t you just love alliteration!  I do.   Most article marketers probably don’t even know what that word means.   They’re Googling it right now because they can’t figure it out from the context of this parended statement. )  It is a beautiful sort of irony, almost sublime. Irony aside, let’s cut to the chase: Article marketing is stupid.   Let me list the reasons because people who read articles like this just love lists.   The Internet has made lists compulsory.   You used to be able to write stuff that peope would read without resorting to bullet points.   Long live PowerPoint!  Long live the post-literate society! Anyway, we’ll need a list for this one. Reasons that article marketing is stupid: Most articles are of ridiculously low quality. Most article marketers will at least admit that they are shameless marketers, not writers.   The ones who claim to be writers are just annoying.   If you were a writer, you would be pitching your stuff to The New York Times, not begging some article directory full of electronic waste posing as content to take it for free. Most article marketers don’t know what the hell they’re talking about. A good number of these people never finished community college, not that there’s anything wrong with that.   Just don’t tell me about miracle supplements for my heart condition if you don’t at least have a BS in Biology.   What I’m saying is that article marketers choose their products based on the number of suckers they think they can get to buy them, not based on what the marketers know or love.   The proof is in the puddin’.   Read the articles.   They’re atrocious.   They always have that “call to action” at the end, though, carefully crafted to separate your credit card from that safe little slot in your wallet.   Give article marketers credit for being good at that part. Article marketing is all about money, not articles. Did I mention that article marketing actually does earn money?  In that sense, it’s not stupid.   When I say “article marketing is stupid,” I mean that in a general sort of way.   If you have a business and know how to write a zippy call to action, by all means, use article marketing.   Just do all of us a favor and don’t call yourself a writer because you are not. If you are a writer, the business you want is publishing, not internet marketing and especially not article marketing. Why on earth would you give away the crown jewels, especially when they will go mostly unread and un-appreciated in the vast sea of useless electrons called article directories? Put it on your own blog.   You’ll get more traffic, and you’ll still own it.   You can still put your affiliate links in there.   Heck, you can put more of them in there.   It’s your blog.   You can cuss and do other fun stuff, too. That is why article markeing is dumb. In case you’re wondering, I barfed out this “article” in about ten minutes.   I save the good stuff for my blogs.

Internet Marketing Tips – Stupid Videos – Super Sales

Posted by admin on Tuesday, 12 January, 2010

makes it very simple to get a decent video on YouTube in a matter of hours. Ah, but what about the marketing part? That’s the only part that requires some thought. The I am just amazed at the state of entertainment in our world. I remember as a kid, back in the 60s, the shows were really well done. Today. . . not so much. There is more stupidity in the world than I can shake a stick at. One only needs to turn on just about any reality TV show to see my point illustrated in spades. And guess what? This stuff SELLS. Yes folks. . . we are a world that loves stupidity. Okay, you’re probably thinking what this has to do with Internet marketing. It has everything to do with it. . . thanks to video. You may not be aware of this but YouTube is the fourth ranked site on the Internet according to Alexa. Heck, even I go there. For more details www. tube-traffic. com. I admit it. I’m hooked. Now, while I don’t watch the stupid videos, if you take a look at some of the most popular ones, you’ll find that many of them are really out there. It goes back to what I said at the start of this article. . . people love stupidity. Okay, so how can you use this fact to help your Internet marketing reach new heights? Well, for starters, you have to enter the world of making videos. Now before you say that you don’t know how or can’t afford it, let me tell you something. It’s easy. I mean it’s VERY easy. And it’s not expensive at all. I purchased my Mustek digital camera for about a hundred bucks at Radio Shack. With good light, it gives you a decent video quality wise. As for ease of use, it doesn’t get easier. Most digital cameras come with very simple to follow instructions. And editing your videos is also easy as well with software like Camtasia, which only costs a few hundred dollars. The download from camera to PC is a simple as plugging the camera into your USB port. From there you’ll get all these menus pop up that a child could navigate through. For more details www. free-ad-system. com.   And Camtasia key is taking your niche, whatever it is, and representing it in a humorous light. I did this with one video of mine where I taught my son Jerry, and of course the viewers as well, how to do article marketing. It was done in a humorous way that was also educational. The combination has led to quite a few views even with NO outside promotion. That’s how big video is today. So if you’re not taking advantage of it, you’re missing out on a huge segment of your target market.

Internet Marketing Strategy ? 4 Stupid Mistakes That People Tend To Make!

Posted by admin on Wednesday, 6 January, 2010

We often hear people saying that their internet marketing strategy does not seem to be working. When you ask them what their actual marketing strategies are, they tell you the same old story. It’s quite simple to understand that in the internet marketing search engine optimization is involved; people tend to make a lot of foolish mistakes. Some of the most common mistakes made by them are listed below: Blindly trust the internet marketing consultant This is the one of the silliest mistakes made by many who carry out internet marketing for their products and services. They trust the consultant who has offered them the internet marketing services blindly, without any cross checking or cross questioning. However, you definitely do not want to trust them to the extent of forgetting the services that they had promised and the deadline too. If at all, the consultant tends to delay your work after signing the contract, there will be nothing you can do. Hence, go to a reliable source and agree to all the necessary terms well in advance. This internet marketing strategy will keep you away from risks and frauds. Totally rely on Internet marketing Once started, people tend to believe in the myth that internet marketing will solve their entire problem and will do all the advertising needed. No doubt that internet marketing will help you to a great extent and will largely improvise your business. However, depending on what you are dealing in you have to resort to the other modes of advertising as well. For instance, if you are dealing in computer spare parts, just marketing it online would be perfect, but when you deal in something like eatables or clothing, then you would have to use all the open options available. Fail to maintain proper records The next most common dumb mistake that people make in the internet marketing is that they do not maintain proper records. When you start up with an internet marketing campaign, you must have a bottom line. You should know the number of clients you are bringing in, the estimated profits, and lots more. If you do not have an aggregate of these things right in the start how will you come to know if your internet marketing strategy is actually working or not. Starting up with an incomplete website This is again a very common mistake made by many. They start up with the marketing campaign even before their website is complete. Internet marketing surely does lead people to your website, but when the visitors get to your website and see that it is under construction, they would get really annoyed, having a very bad impression of your website and its products. So make sure you’re website is up to date before you start advertising. The internet marketing strategy might be a bit complicated at times, due to which a lot of people tend to make stupid mistakes. The secret to an effective campaign you have to make sure you’re getting the most for the amount you are paying.

Promoting Your Business with Video Marketing

Posted by admin on Saturday, 5 December, 2009

When most people think of marketing their products or services, video is not the first thing that comes to mind – even though promoting your business with video marketing is one of the most effective ways to reach a targeted group of people. Let’s take YouTube, the largest video sharing site on the Internet. Here you can find everything from stupid pet tricks to instructions on how to repair a car engine. With over 60 million unique visitors, imagine how much traffic video marketing can bring to your website. Before you rule out videos, thinking that you don’t know how to make a video or that you are camera shy – a video is not difficult to create (there are a number of instructional videos online) and you don’t necessarily have to show your face. If you have a product, you can demonstrate how to use it without ever being seen. You can use images or a slide show to promote through video. You can even use someone else if you’d like. YouTube can be viewed in 18 different languages, with the possibility of your products being shown literally around the world. You don’t have to start out with high tech equipment. In fact, you can use a webcam to make your first video. What makes video such a great marketing tool is that viewers can leave comments, which you can use to improve your product. Once you have completed your video, don’t forget to include your URL so viewers know where to find out more about you and your products. If your video is not perfect the first time, it’s okay. Your main goal is to promote your product or service, not to win the best video of the year award. If you need help creating your first video, there are several resources available on the Internet to help. The most important thing is to get your video marketing campaign started. Practice makes perfect and you will improve over time. To find out more about video marketing, take a moment and visit us at http://www. http//www. quickvideomarketing. com/live. html

Do You Want to Make Cash With Video Marketing? Here’s a Few Video Marketing Tips

Posted by admin on Tuesday, 17 November, 2009

Do you want to make cash with video marketing? Let me share a few tips that will fill your wallet with CASH. Video marketing is an awesome tool to use online if you are an entrepreneur. Videos alone can brand you as a leader and promote your product or company 24 hrs. 7 days a week. One of the first questions I get asked when coaching people how to create videos is, I don’t know what to say? or What if I look stupid?I tell them to quit with the self limiting beliefs. Video marketing is about BEING REAL. People are attracted to people who are real and have similar interests and values. I mean, look at the big craze over that youtube video featuring a divorcee and her rant against her ex husband. She actually made it on Larry King. You just never know how popular your videos can be. Once you create them they can become VIRAL and get passed throughout the youtube community and the Internet. The way technology has become nowadays we as Internet marketers NEED to adapt. We need to CASH in on this FREE marketing strategy. Now, what are some tips I can share with you?If you are using a desktop PC without a built in video cam, make sure you buy a webcam that has at least 1300 px. This way your videos will look clearer when you upload them. A good webcam will generally cost between $60-$100. 00. When you create your videos a good website to go to is tubemogul. com. There are others but what tubemogul will do is allow you to upload your videos to 14 of the most popular video marketing websites at the push of a button. It will automate this for you and save you time. They also have a paid service that will submit your videos to more directories. There is a piece of software that comes with most Microsoft PC’s. It’s called Windows Moviemaker. With Windows MovieMaker you can create your own titles and edit your video. Then you can publish it and upload it to youtube or where ever you want. You can also use camstudio or other software to create presentations and share with your prospects. Another valuable tip that was shared to me by a friend is that there is a code that you can insert into the embed code of your video that will allow your video to start automatically on your website. This is cool because when you send traffic to your blog or myspace profile or website your video will start playing without your prospect having to manually click play. All you have to do is copy and paste the embed code that you get after you upload the video to youtube and look for the first em. After the first em type &autoplay=1. For example em&autoplay=1. This code will automatically start your video. The last tip I want to share is a good way to SEO(Search Engine Optimize) your videos. When I first got started with video marketing I learned to put my website’s url as the first link in my description when uploading to youtube. I would search for a popular youtube videos that are similiar to mine and that has gotten over at least 10,000 views. I would then study their description box and copy and paste their keywords into my description. It is perfectly Ok to do and will help your video get noticed. I then would generate keyword tags around my keywords. Obviously the more SEO videos you have uploaded the better chance you have of google picking them up. That will result in free traffic to you. In closing I want to say that video marketing is FUN and the best advice I can give you is just be yourself and be creative. There are so many ways your videos can connect with people and drive traffic to your websites.

Internet Marketing is Stupid!

Posted by admin on Monday, 16 November, 2009

Do you know strolled the story "The fox and the grapes?" It's a classic Aesop fable that goes something like this: On a hot summer day a fox, a fruit orchard, when he is only ripe grapes on a vine high above the ground on a high branch. "Ahhh, just what I need to quench my thirst," said the fox. Stepping back a few steps, ran the fox after the start vines high in the air, just missing the grape. Not to be deterred so easily, he took a few steps back and ran back toward the vine that starts high in the air, missing again the grapes. Again and again he began to take higher and higher into the air to come every time too short. Exhausted and frustrated, the fox gave up and went away muttering: "The grapes are probably sour anyhow!" The moral of the story reads: "It is easy to despise what you can not get it." So, what has all this to do with Internet marketing? Well, a few days ago I received a private message to one of the small business forums that I am a member. The message was from another forum member trying to help instruct me to the other members of the forum. In a nutshell, he said, Internet marketing was stupid that you do not have adequate money, because he had repeatedly tried and failed. Hmmmmm. . . sounds a lot like our fox in the above story. "It is easy to despise what you can not do that!" He went on to tell me that I am the people false hope by supporting them with my advice. Anyway, that message got me thinking. There are probably a lot of other people out there who mistakenly think exactly the same thing about Internet marketing because of negative experiences they had. You can even reach the people. If you are, that's my message to you and the person who sent me that a private message: Internet marketing is not stupid. Internet marketing works! How do I know? Because I personally make my life online, there are a number of my friends and colleagues. But it was not just coincidence. It's like everything in life, you need to learn how to do it. For example, people are not born knowing, how to drive a car. You need to learn by going one behind the wheel and Training. Well, Internet marketing is no different. You have to learn the basics, and you need it to practice. Along the way you can fail a few times, but when you are learning something new, you are obliged to make mistakes. I did not rely on Internet marketing often that little light bulb finally on in my head and I finally behind them. But I never gave up, and I never stopped learning. I read read every book marketing, newsletter, and I could get my hands on. You see, learning is the key. If you are in Internet marketing to succeed, you need to learn how to do it!

How Boring And Stupid Is Internet Marketing? But How Fun Are People?

Posted by admin on Tuesday, 3 November, 2009

I realized after a while from pursuing the dream of building an online business, which demonstrate the potential for thousands and thousands from month to month for years and years. This Internet marketing is really stupid and boring. But in dealing with people is an absolute explosion, fun, interesting and rewarding highly profitable at the same time.
I discovered after dealing with many failures and disappointments that Internet marketing is not the path for me. I have many different things that have not worked for the most part, tries. Are you going on? Did you know that you are an antisocial hermit, the interaction between people afraid of? For this reason, you wanted to work on the Internet in the first place? Well, I thought so too. But here is what I discovered. Internet marketing is the absolute stupidest and most boring thing there is. All that brings internet marketing usually sitting alone and typing into a computer. It is truly a mind numbing task. It's really boring and does not take much brains. It is really easy. The thing is, it requires allot of patience and the ability to sit and stare. I say this because I've done it. And it's all completely worth it.
While internet marketing is stupid and boring it was the ride of my life. I have been in contact with many, many people. Seen to make the many, additional income and some full time is more money in their spare time. Internet marketing has made life for the people who are willing to sit and watch and learn and be bored silly and interesting than they first thought. What Internet marketing is not after you performed the work in the beginning, you is the ability to tell your story and help other people make it a dream of working from home. Well, fun, fun, fun. The rules of internet marketing are simple. First find out what you need to get visitors to your website. Then turn that traffic into a proposal to finance it and an automated sales presentation for your company. Then turn that traffic into business and customers for your home business. Then we have a system to teach others to do the same. Then the fun starts. Dealing with positive people who want to learn and achieve, and making money is really inspiring. Here is a page, you will learn the process, as the part is boring and stupid in just a short phase in turn.

Erik Jacobson has sat and learned the process of online marketing, and now teaches how the boring aspects, and to shorten it and turn the Internet into a fun way to make money and in conjunction with people who are very similar to themselves. Here is a guide that teaches the art of Internet marketing http://www. networkingforcash. com
